Pampanga Foodtrip

Our camera club is always on the lookout  for unique places to visit and shoot.  Instead of just visiting a place known for it's scenic splendor, we decided to go on a different route by visiting places known for its delicacy instead.

Pampanga was officially chosen as it is well-known for their culinary delights.  After some careful research and planning, we decided to have breakfast at the house of noted Kapampangan chef - Atching Lilian Borromeo where we were regaled with concoctions that saturated our palate.

Lunch at Sta. Rita was our next agenda. But before  proceeding there, we made a quick stop at the famous Bacolor church which was half-buried by lahar after the Mt. Pinatubo eruption.

Arriving at Sta. Rita, we proceeded to the Gosioco residence, the oldest house  there at 162 years old.

Lunch was served at the ground floor area of the house where we were taught to use the proper combination of condiments to different foods.

After gorging ourselves with delight, we had to take a break as our digestive system was getting overwhelmed - hahaha!

And then by chance, we were informed by the house owners that there is an event called the  Duman festival and it will be held later at the Sta. Rita church -  just a few blocks away.  So off we went to discover that this festival was about food as well.

Our last stop was dinner at the well known Everybody's Cafe at San Fernando where we got to sample exotic dishes aside from their usual favorites.

And with that, we all went home happily stuffed to the max from having savored the different cuisines found in this province. I know there's a lot more out there waiting for us but we have to take a rain check for now as there's a limit to what our body can consume in a day.

Happy eating!
