Camiguin
My wife, May, and I went to Camiguin for an overnight stay. Spent all of our time on a rush sightseeing tour around the island as we were scheduled to head back home the next day.
View of Camiguin from our ferry
After depositing our luggage at Bahay Bakasyunan, we hired a multi-cab to take us around and first on our list was the old 16th century Guiob church ruins
There's also the ruins of the nearby convent
We then went to Ardent Hibok-Hibok hot spring resort where we had a relaxing dip in their warm pools.
Took this shot of a bather underneath the mini waterfall
There were a lot of these red insects on the trees inside the resort. Not familiar what species they are.

I once read an article about an italian who settled down in Camiguin and opened his very own restaurant and his reviews were good. So we gave it a go for dinner...
...and we were not disappointed. The penne with olives and pizza were molto delizioso!
After a good night's sleep, we ate a hearty breakfast at our resort's dining hut

Later, I ask May to pose by the de luxe huts across our cottage.
Spotted this family staring out to the sea
Before heading out sightseeing, we dropped by at the local church.
After deliberating on where to go next with our driver, we ended up in Katibawasan falls
On our way to the Sunken Cemetery, we passed by the well known Mt. Hibok-Hibok
...and
Mt. Vulcan which was responsible for the eruption that destroyed the Guiob church

We also visited the Sto. Rosario Church in Sagay. The unique interior decor of the church consists of recycled twigs and bamboo.
Beside the church is the Green Shrine where the altar and the benches are covered by a spectacular canopy of leaves and drooping vines
After discovering an old Spanish look-out tower and passing by several mangroves, we were greeted by this grandeur river scene of Camiguin's 5 mountain peaks. And with this sight, we ended our short tour thru this beautiful volcanic island. Hope you folks enjoyed the mini tour as well.
